Booking & Cancellation Policy

Application & Interview

Tantra Sailing is more than a holiday. It's a shared journey of connection, exploration, personal growth, and conscious community.

To create a safe, welcoming, and harmonious group experience, all new participants are invited to complete a short application and attend an introductory online conversation with one of our facilitators.

This gives us an opportunity to get to know each other, answer your questions, explore your intentions, and make sure the experience is a good fit for everyone.

No previous experience with Tantra or sailing is required. What matters most is an open mind, respect for others, and a willingness to participate in a conscious community.

Participation is confirmed following acceptance of your application and receipt of your deposit.

Reserving Your Place

Once your application has been accepted, you will receive an invitation to secure your place with a deposit.

Your spot is officially reserved once the deposit has been received and your booking has been confirmed in writing.

Spaces are limited to create an intimate group experience, and bookings are accepted subject to availability.

The remaining balance is payable according to the payment schedule provided for your specific sailing journey, usually a month before the adventure.

Payment Schedule

To make your booking easier, we offer a payment structure that allows you to secure your place in advance.

  • Deposit: 50% of the total retreat price to confirm your reservation.
  • Remaining balance: 50%, payable no later than 30 days before departure.
  • Bookings within 30 days of departure: full payment is required upon confirmation.

Alternative payment arrangements may be available upon request and must be agreed in writing.

All prices, payment deadlines, and any additional costs will be clearly communicated before you confirm your booking.

Cancellation by Guest

We understand that plans sometimes change.

If you need to cancel your participation, please notify us in writing as soon as possible. Our proposed cancellation conditions are:

  • More than 60 days before departure: refund of payments received.
  • Between 30 and 60 days before departure: 50% of the total retreat price is retained.
  • Less than 30 days before departure: 100% of the retreat price is retained.

If you are unable to join, you may request to transfer your booking to another suitable participant, subject to our approval, the application process, and any applicable administrative or supplier costs.

These conditions are subject to applicable consumer protection laws and any mandatory refund rights.

Cancellation or Changes by Tantra Sailing

Every Tantra Sailing journey is carefully planned to create a meaningful and unforgettable experience.

However, exceptional circumstances may require us to modify or cancel a trip, including insufficient participant numbers, vessel unavailability, safety concerns, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

If we cancel a journey before departure, we will inform you as soon as possible and explain the available options, including any refund or alternative arrangement required under applicable law.

Where changes to the itinerary, vessel, departure arrangements, or retreat program are necessary, we will communicate them as early as reasonably possible.

Any substantial changes will be handled in accordance with applicable travel regulations and your booking agreement.

Weather & Route Changes

The sea has its own rhythm, and sailing invites us to embrace flexibility and adventure.

While we carefully design each itinerary, actual routes and destinations depend on weather conditions, sea conditions, local regulations, and the professional judgment of the captain.

For everyone's safety and comfort, the captain may change the route, adjust sailing times, or remain in a sheltered location when necessary.

Our priority is always the safety and well-being of everyone on board.

Changes to the sailing itinerary do not automatically entitle participants to compensation, although any applicable statutory rights remain unaffected.

Travel Insurance

All participants are required to have suitable travel insurance for the entire duration of the journey. Your policy should include:

  • Emergency medical treatment and hospitalization abroad.
  • Emergency evacuation and repatriation.
  • Coverage for recreational sailing and any other planned activities.
  • Appropriate protection for travel disruption.

We also strongly recommend coverage for trip cancellation, missed departures, personal belongings, and unexpected travel expenses.

Please check your policy carefully to ensure it covers your destination and the activities included in your experience.

Participants are responsible for arranging their own insurance and may be asked to provide proof of coverage before departure.
